I am completely fascinated by how much technology has changed in my 35 years! Things that were considered science fiction a decade or two ago are now standard practice. Along with these huge advances in technology, come advances in the way the world works. Business, entertainment, commerce, and politics have all changed as technology has changed. It stands to reason that education should change along with the rest of society. Being a technology leader means helping to identify technologies that can have a positive impact on education, helping create professional development opportunities to help educators use and expand on technologies effectively in their classrooms, compiling and using data to assess technology use in education, and helping to weed out technologies that don't have a positive impact on education.
